PRAYER SHAWL AND CHEMO CAP MINISTRY
We have now distributed numerous prayer shawls and over 40 chemo caps to Michigan Hematology and Oncology.  Thank you to those who distributed them!  We have received notes form recipients of shawls telling of the peace and comfort they receive from their shawls.  We are gathering shawls now to distribute to residents of Woodland in Bridgman that attend Pastor’s monthly service there.  The eyes of the resident that attend the service light up when they hear God’s word and sing familiar hymns!  In Thursday morning Bible class we are studying Colossians.  Colossians 2:2 “….that their hearts may be encouraged, knit together in love..”  ESV.  Although this reference don’t  exactly mean knitting or crocheting with yarn and needles, each time I see reference to knitting in the Bible, I think of our shawl and cap ministry.  Encouraging hearts and knit together in love…wow!  We do this with our ministry!  We need more help.  If you know how to knit or crochet, prayerfully consider helping this ministry.  If you are a beginner, you could make squares that we can put together to form shawls.  If you would like to learn to knit or crochet, please contact Carol Jallits (269-409-8363 home) and we will make arrangements.  May God continue to bless this ministry and the awesome members of Trinity Glendora!  Please continue to distribute shawls and caps to those in need.
